Armenian FM Sargis Sargsyan fulfils IM norm

Armenian FM Sargis Sargsyan fulfilled an IM norm at the 19th International Chess Festival Paracin 2026 held in Paracin, Serbia.

Sargis scored 6.5 points out of 9 and finished in 4th place, the Armenian Chess Federation reported on Monday.

Among the Armenian prize winners are also CM Valter Gyurjinyan and FM Edgar Andreasyan, who scored 6 points and finished 8th and 11th, respectively.

It should also be noted that Valter improved his rating by 114 points.
