MEAT PRODUCTS: SLAUGHTER-HOUSES NEEDED

The executive has made changes in the rules and regulations of meat and meat product technology in its session today. Inspection Head of the Agriculture Ministry Grisha Baghyan has told a briefing swiftly after the session the changes are made to comply with the European standards and sanitary and hygienic regulations and norms.

“The permissible amount of materials hazardous for human health has been approved. Former regulations did not allow exporting meat and meat products to the European Union or importing such products from other countries,” Baghyan said also saying other products are included in the list.

Assessing today’s market of meat products, the speaker noted that it is in an unsatisfactory state and that slaughter-houses are need for the solution of the problem.
