Gyumri opposition activist released from courtroom, lawyer says

The Anti-Corruption Court has denied the investigator's motion to impose administrative supervision on Suren Gasparyan, a member of the campaign headquarters of the opposition Our City bloc led by Martun Grigoryan in Gyumri. The decision was made on Thursday night, lawyer Arsen Babayan reported.

Gasparyan was defended in court by Sergey Harutyunyan, a member of the Five Human Rights Defenders initiative.

"Suren was released from the courtroom, marking the first victory in the case," Babayan said in a social media post.
