NSS reveals new details about minors who ended up in Azerbaijani territory

Following the safe return of two minors from Azerbaijan to the Tegh border community in Armenia’s Syunik Province, the National Security Service (NSS) has disclosed new details about their conversations with law-enforcement authorities.

The teenagers, Karen Jhangiryan and Andrey Gyagunts, got lost and accidentally crossed into Azerbaijani territory early on Friday.

According to the NSS, interviews with the boys revealed that they had become disoriented while searching for livestock and were unable to navigate due to heavy fog.

“The reports suggesting that they were abducted by Azerbaijani forces are false,” the agency said in a statement on Saturday.
