Samvel Karapetyan's son urges all to join Friday's march

The son of renowned businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan has expressed gratitude to all those who have supported his family, especially during the recent challenging times.

“I want to thank everyone. Your support truly gives us the strength to keep fighting for the truth, our rights and dignity,” he said in a video message on Thursday.

He criticized Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party, accusing it of fostering fear and undermining freedoms by turning the legal process into what he described as "complete absurdity".

“But you know, freedom is a mindset. Let’s find the path to justice together, standing side by side,” the man said.

He urged everyone to join Friday's peaceful march in support for Samvel Karapetyan.

Karapetyan has been charged with making public calls to seize power in Armenia and has been placed in pre-trial detention for two months. The charges are widely condemned as politically motivated.
