World Championships: Armenian wrestler beats Azeri rival to reach semifinals

Armenian freestyle wrestler Arman Andreasyan (70 kg) defeated his Azerbaijani opponent Kanan Heybatov 8-6 on Saturday to secure a spot in the semifinals of the World Wrestling Championships.

He will next face a Japanese wrestler for a spot in the final, the Wrestling Federation reported.

Andreasyan began his campaign with a victory over Tajikistan’s Rassadin.
