New ENA manager's salary disclosed

The supervisory committee of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) has disclosed that the company’s newly appointed manager, Romanos Petrosyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, earns a monthly salary of 5.2 million drams, amounting to 62.4 million drams annually.

According to the committee, the combined yearly salaries of eight politically connected appointees with no prior experience in the energy sector total 212.9 million drams. Over seven years, that figure would reach nearly 1.5 billion drams.

The committee also accused the manager of spreading false information for a second time, stressing that board salaries do not affect electricity tariffs.

“Board members are paid directly by the company’s owner, not through consumer tariffs,” the statement read, calling on Petrosyan to retract his earlier claims.
