Armenian Foreign Ministry neither confirms nor denies reports on upcoming JD Vance visit
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has neither confirmed nor denied a report by a former lawmaker that U.S. Vice President JD Vance is planning to visit Armenia in early 2026.
Former MP Arman Babajanyan, president of the For the Republic Party, earlier said in a statement that he has information that the U.S. Vice President will visit Armenia in February 2026. He did not reveal the source of the information.
Political analyst Suren Sargsyan also said a senior U.S. official could visit Armenia early next year.
Armenpress asked the Foreign Ministry to confirm or deny the report.
“Information on planned high-level visits to Armenia is provided in a timely and appropriate manner,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan said in response to the query.
