Flights from UAE to Armenia disrupted after drone strike near Dubai Airport

Several flights from the United Arab Emirates to Armenia were cancelled or delayed on Monday following a drone strike on a fuel tank near Dubai International Airport.

Zvartnots Airport officials told Panorama.am that the Abu Dhabi-Yerevan flight scheduled for 12:20 p.m. and the Sharjah-Yerevan flight set for 5:05 p.m. were both cancelled. The Doha-Yerevan flight planned for shortly after midnight on March 17 has also been called off.

Meanwhile, the Dubai-Yerevan flight, originally set for 10:25 a.m., was postponed after reports of a drone falling near Dubai Airport. According to updates, the flight is now expected to depart at 9:00 p.m. local time.
