The Strong Armenia party has officially launched its election campaign with an event held outside the National Assembly building in Yerevan.
Speaking at the gathering, party member David Ghazinyan said the party was entering the race with confidence, saying it believed strongly in the support of the Armenian people and in its vision of building “a strong Armenia”.
“Our political team and its leader, Samvel Karapetyan, are making commitments that are realistic and achievable,” he said.
Armenia formally began campaigning for the June 7 parliamentary elections on Friday.
According to the election authorities, 19 parties and blocs have registered to contest the vote.
