Armenian Foreign Ministry hails conclusion of TRIPP framework agreement
Armenia and the United States have signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation concerning the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), the Armenian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
The ministry said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed the accord remotely, with Rubio signing in Washington on June 1 and Mirzoyan in Yerevan on June 4.
The agreement follows understandings reached in Yerevan on May 26 and marks “another important step in realizing the Armenia-U.S. vision of a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Armenia and region,” the ministry said.
Both sides will now undertake domestic procedures required for the agreement’s entry into force, aiming for swift implementation of TRIPP on the ground.
The full text of the agreement was published on the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s website on May 26.
