Search efforts for a 13-year-old Armenian girl missing in the Pambak River entered the eighth day on Monday.
The search has mobilized around 180 rescue personnel and 90 police officers, along with volunteers, divers and drone operators. Authorities are also using boats and other specialized equipment to comb the river and surrounding areas.
The girl disappeared on June 15 along with her 7-year-old sister after the two left a residence on Narekatsi Street in the northern Armenian city of Vanadzor and failed to reach their intended destination.
On June 17, rescuers recovered the body of the younger sister, 7-year-old Nare Martirosyan, from the Pambak River.
