Garik Martirosyan expresses support for detained philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan

Renowned TV producer, comedian and entertainer Garik Martirosyan has expressed support for businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, who has been detained for two months. Martirosyan’s statement was shared via Instagram Stories by his wife, Zhanna Levina-Martirosyan, on Friday.

“Over the past few days, many have asked me to comment on the situation surrounding our compatriot, prominent businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, who is also a longtime friend of mine,” Martirosyan wrote.

“Samvel Karapetyan has consistently supported thousands of Armenians, including me, over the years. Naturally, I am deeply concerned about the current developments and sincerely hope that Mr. Karapetyan will soon be released.

“I am confident that Samvel Karapetyan, a man of great dignity, will emerge from this difficult situation with honor. I wish tenacity to Mr. Karapetyan and his family,” reads the statement.
