Voter turnout reaches 36.7% in Vagharshapat elections

Voter turnout in the Vagharshapat City Council elections reached 36.72% as of 5 p.m. on Sunday, the Central Electoral Commission reported. A total of 25,655 citizens cast their ballots in the municipal elections.

Earlier in the day, 5,283 voters, or 7.56% of the electorate, had participated in the vote.

According to the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Interior Ministry, Vagharshapat has 69,866 registered voters.

The elections are being held across 47 polling stations, with eight political forces vying for the City Council seats.
