Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan discharged from hospital

Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, was discharged from Izmirlian Medical Center in Yerevan on Tuesday.

Asked about his condition, Ajapahyan said he felt “excellent, even better than before,” and urged well-wishers to “be well”.

Ajapahyan’s detention was recently replaced with house arrest. Following his release from the hospital, probation service officers escorted him to his home town of Gyumri.
